If you are looking for a guide to keep you and your family entertained, look no further! We’ve started a monthly events guide to be sure you don’t miss a thing happening around Milwaukee.

Here’s a list of July’s events!Milwaukee in July

June 29-July 3 and July 5-July 10 Summerfest – The World’s Largest Music Festival, including a little something for everyone. 

July 2-4 Independence Day Celebration at Old World Wisconsin – Celebrate the spirit of Independence Day in 19th-century America through living history presentation and fun hands-on activities for the entire family.

July 3 Fireworks Kite Festival – This is a fun fly and all are welcome to participate. Our goal is to fill the sky with as many kites as possible. Times from 11:00 AM until 6:30 PM, then 7:30 PM until the fireworks start at 9:25 PM. We have set aside a huge area of Veterans Park just for kite fliers. So fly a kite and get the best seats in the house for the greatest fireworks show on Earth.

July 4 The Ultimate Guide to Milwaukee Area Fireworks – HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

July 6 Moo, Baa! Preschool Adventure Camp at Old World Wisconsin – Come and have fun  at Old World Wisconsin! Join in trying out a butter churn, carding wool, singing a song, playing egg toss and more. You will make your own butter for a snack of butter and crackers. We will take a tram ride to the Koepsell Farm where the baby animals will be waiting to see YOU.

July 7 Little House Adventure Camp at Old World Wisconsin – We bring the Little House on the Prairie books to life! Experience life like Laura or Almanzo Wilder. Explore a log cabin like the one that Laura and her family lived in. Help make and taste butter and cornbread like Laura and Mary made. Make a craft from one of Laura’s books and play games that Laura and Almanzo played. This is the perfect camp for those who have read the books and wondered what life really was like for Laura and her family.

July 7-10 Jelly Belly Carnival – Carnival rides, Belly Flops Deal and more! 

July 8-9 Delafield Block Party – The Delafield Food and Music Festival is a community event for the entire family. Enjoy live bands and area chamber member restaurants serving their specialties! Both evenings feature a sponsored beverage tent and portable bars featuring specialty beer, wine and assorted beverages sold both evenings. Bring your folding chairs and purchase an assortment of food and beverage while you listen and dance to popular bands from Wisconsin.

July 12 Members Only Kid’s Night at the MKE Zoo – Spend a warm summer evening at the Zoo during the Zoological Society’s members-only Kids’ Nights event. There is much to see and do! Family-friendly activities, live entertainment and delicious food await you – along with the Zoo’s animals.

July 13-22 Journey to Jupiter – Take a trip to Jupiter and discover the theories behind the creation of the giant. Learn about NASA’s Juno mission to Jupiter and how it hopes to give us clues –  not just on how Jupiter formed, but the rest of the solar system as well. Audiences will also learn about prior missions to Jupiter including Galileo, and Voyagers 1 & 2. At 6 PM, prior to each show, enjoy cosmic sundaes at an ice cream social with the purchase of a ticket. The journey happens on July 13-15 and July 20-22, 2016 from 7-8 PM. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased one hour prior to each show.

July 14 Milwaukee Mom Flight: Beer & Laughter (Hosted by MKE Moms Blog) – Join us on our second stop of our Flight for Beer and Laughter at Enlightened Brewing Company! Tickets are very limited to be sure to get yours early!  

July 14 Members Only Kid’s Night at the MKE Zoo – Spend a warm summer evening at the Zoo during the Zoological Society’s members-only Kids’ Nights event. There is much to see and do! Family-friendly activities, live entertainment and delicious food await you – along with the Zoo’s animals.

July 14-17 Bastille Days – 35th Anniversary of Milwaukee’s French festival. Bastille Days is one of the largest French-themed celebrations. 

July 15 Members Only Kid’s Night at the MKE Zoo – Spend a warm summer evening at the Zoo during the Zoological Society’s members-only Kids’ Nights event. There is much to see and do! Family-friendly activities, live entertainment and delicious food await you – along with the Zoo’s animals.

July 15-17 Waterford Balloonfest – Evening balloon glows on Friday and Saturday. Free admission!

July 16 Family Fun Day: Gathering on the Green – Gathering on the Green will celebrate its 22nd year in Mequon Rotary Park on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Join us for a lovely day in the park beginning at 2 PM for our Family & Children’s Family Village. Bring your picnic or enjoy some of Milwaukee’s best food trucks!

July 16 Croatian Days – Food, drinks, music, raffle prizes. Croatian Catholic Mass at 11 AM. 

July 16 Fish Day – The World’s Largest One Day Outdoor Fish Fry! Festivities include a car show, walk/run, parade, and an arts and crafts show. 

July 16-17 Old Fashioned Farm Fair & Ice Cream Social – Kids of all ages are invited to the fair to participate in the ever-popular Old Fashioned Farm Fair & Ice Cream Social. Dare to win the pie eating contest or enjoy a hayride or pony ride. For those wanting a bit more fun, head over to view our antique tractor display or climb aboard for a train ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad from the Elegant Farmer depot.

July 16-17 Family Fun Festival – Piala’s Nursery & Garden Shop in Waukesha will be hosting its Third Annual Family Fun Fest this year!  The fest will include live music, hot food, snacks, beverages, family activities, community involvement and awareness, door prizes and more. Family activities include a bounce house, giant slide, and games. Don’t miss your chance for a meet and greet with the Fire Department, Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit and the Milwaukee Brewers Famous Racing Sausages! There is free admission for all to attend the festival.

July 20-24 Waukesha County Fair – The Waukesha County Fair is proud to be the oldest fair in the state of Wisconsin. This year, we’re celebrating our 174th Anniversary with special events and promotions throughout the 5-day Fair run.

July 21-30 Disney’s The Little Mermaid – Greendale Community Theatre presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid, with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea”, “Kiss the Girl”, and “Part of Your World.”  Disney’s The Little Mermaid takes place in Greendale High School’s Reiman Family Arts Wing, 6801 Southway, Greendale.

July 22-24 Festa Italiana –  Traditional entertainment, food, games and fireworks every night. 

July 24 Milwaukee Comic Con – The Milwaukee Comic Con returns on Sunday, July 24th for an even bigger and better event than ever! With a whole new spacious floor plan (which means wider aisles, more vendors and artists, and a large gaming area devoted to both table top and video gaming), an earlier start time, and even bigger and better guests than ever, this is one Con you don’t want to miss!

July 27 Hartland Kids Day –  Bounce houses, rock wall, food and more!

July 29-30 North Shore Bank’s Taste of Lake Country – Celebrate the 20th anniversary with food, music, art vendors and shopping.

July 29-31 German Fest – Authentic German food and entertainment including the 11th Annual Dachshund Derby.

July 30 Brady Street Festival  Four stages of entertainment including local bands.

July 30 Dragon Boat Festival – Presented by the Milwaukee Chinese Community Center the festival will include an authentic Chinese experience.

July 31 Holstein Hustle 5K – Get your feet moovin’ and join Washington County Fair for the inaugural Holstein Hustle 5k.
