I’ll be completely honest with you, March is my birth month and I’m very bias towards it. Not only does it host my birthday, but the first day of spring and St. Patrick’s Day! Below is your guide to the month of March so you don’t miss a thing happening here in Milwaukee!

Feb. 25 – March 5 2017 Auto Show: Do all your auto shopping under one roof – or just come to kick the tires! See the 2017 models from all the major brands plus concept cars, hybrids, classics, antique and custom cars, performance accessories and more!
March 4 Milwaukee’s Monthly Family Magic Show Come watch a rotating roster of family friendly magicians. Every month is a different show so come again and again! Tickets are $5 per person.
March 4 7th Annual Mad Hatter Tea Party Wear a hat! “Don’t be late!” Alice will “shrink” you through the key-hole right at 3pm! This is a day for folks young and old! You will enjoy delicious assorted Rishi Teas, sandwiches and treats by Larry’s Market, Pat O’Brien’s famous cookies, live music by Anthony Deutsch, a museum tour featuring the Mad Hatter and Docent Mary, a staging of the Mad Hatter’s tea party featuring Milwaukee actors, and also a “meet and greet” picture time with characters and more! A wonderful outing for friends, men, women, children, grandmas, and aunties.
March 8 – 12 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show features outdoor sports exhibits and interactive fun for the entire family. Be a part of this sporting tradition where people from all over Wisconsin and northern Illinois who love fishing, boating, hunting, and camping, come to try and buy the latest in outdoor equipment as well as book their summer vacation sporting adventure.
March 9 WE BANJO 3: St. Patrick’s Day Concert March is the time of year where everyone is Irish! Get your Irish on and celebrate St. Patrick’s day with us and We Banjo 3 as we kickoff the countdown to the 2017 Milwaukee Irish Festival! Not only will you hear music from one of the best Irish bands in the circuit, but we’ll also reveal the full Irish Fest entertainment line-up! Bring your friends and bring your family because this is a concert for everyone!
March 11 St. Patrick’s Day Parade The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin’s 51st Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on March 11th, 2017, stepping off at noon at 3rd and Wisconsin and finishing at Water and Highland. Join us for one of the best St Patrick’s Day Parades in the country and the grandest parade in Wisconsin.The Parade will feature 100+ units and includes local politicians and celebrities, floats, bagpipe and marching bands and Irish and Celtic organizations.
March 11-12 Winter Pow Wow Traditional American Indian Pow Wow with drumming, dancing and singing. Marketplace, traditional food and Aztec dancers. Families and general public are welcome. See the link for ticket prices!
March 12 Wayne the Wizard Show Wayne caught the magic bug at age 11 and still hasn’t shaken it! For over 25 years, this astonishing magician and balloon artist has performed his dazzling array of illusions for audiences of all ages. He’ll wow you with his impressive tricks, twists, and audience participation. BONUS! Each child will take home their own balloon sculpture!
March 12 Family Day in the Village – Tosa Family Day in the Village is back! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early! Our family-friendly event has activities for everyone, including crafts for the wee ones, entertainment, live music, an appearance by our Milwaukee Irish Fest mascots Paddy and Molly McFest, family activities and tours of our Ward Irish Music Archives, which is located upstairs.
March 12 Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays: About Face Children will be inspired by the various portraits of people and animals in the Museum’s Collection, and create their own unique works of art. Admission to this event is FREE thanks to Friends of Art. Bring your family to the Milwaukee Art Museum on Sunday, March 12 to discover the many faces of portraiture. Children will be inspired by the various portraits of people and animals in the Museum’s Collection, and create their own unique works of art. Families will learn to draw facial features, sculpt with clay, and more during this activity-filled day. Families will also have the opportunity to meet visiting artists, watch musical performances, and engage in an Emoji Art Scavenger Hunt.
March 16 Neighborhood Night at Betty Brinn Join us for FREE admission, courtesy of our sponsors, from 5 – 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month! Enjoy access to all of the Museum’s hands-on exhibits, and stop by our Be A Maker space to find tools, materials and techniques for endless ways to experiment and create.
March 18 ComedySportz at Oconomowoc Arts Center ComedySportz is an all Improv, all
suggestion based comedy show, fun for all ages. Two teams of “Actletes” get suggestions from the audience, create scenes onstage, and compete for your laughs! You decide what each scene is about, you decide who you think is funnier, and you decide who wins!
March 18 Fight for Air Climb Whether you’re an experienced climber or looking for a new challenge, the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb at the U.S. Bank Center in downtown Milwaukee is the event for you! Help impact lung health throughout Wisconsin. This is a competitive and non-competitive event and is open to men, women and children of all ages and fitness types.
March 25 Interlocking Rhythms: TAIKOPROJECT + Ryutaro Kaneko The dynamic and powerful TAIKOPROJECT has dazzled audiences for 15 years with its unique contemporary blend of taiko, music, storytelling, and choreography. The first American company to win Tokyo’s International Taiko Contest, the company unites ancient Japanese tradition with 21st-century innovation.
