March is the month we’ve been waiting for — when those glimpses of spring begin to surface, the snow starts to melt and we start to see signs of new life all around us. March 24th – The 3rd Annual Family Egg Hunt with MKE Moms Blog has returned to the Midwest Orthopedic Sports Complex! Bigger and better than ever, this family event features activities for the whole family to enjoy, over 6000 eggs spread across three full-sized soccer fields, the Easter Bunny himself, face painting, and so much more!

March 1st – Brinn Labs Open House :: The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum announces the expansion of its Maker Initiatives with the opening of Brinn Labs, located at 433 E. Stewart St. in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood. Brinn Labs will serve as a community hub for science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education.
March 2nd – 2018 Women Leaders Conference :: This conference celebrates women who have pioneered in their fields and uncovers their proven methods for success. Attendees learn from accomplished women, discover what inspires them and how to harness their energy to empower themselves. In addition to the energizing keynote presentations, there are ample opportunities to network with colleagues while enjoying a variety of educational seminars and panel discussions.
March 3rd – Dr. Seuss Library Open House :: Join us for a fun open house event as we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss. We will have green eggs & ham for snack, read some stories & play some fun educational games. Ages up to 12. Happening at both the Pewaukee Public Library (10 am to noon) and the Delafield Public Library (1 pm to 3 pm). FREE!
March 10th – Dr. Seuss Library Open House – Waukesha Public Library :: Join us for a fun open house event as we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss. We will have green eggs & ham for snack, read some stories & play some fun educational games. Ages up to 12. FREE
March 11th – Civil Rights History Bus Tour :: Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Milwaukee’s Open Housing Marches, the tour explores these important places and the people who worked tirelessly for social justice and demonstrate the power of art to effect change, promote equal rights, and inspire community building.
March 11th – Family Day at the Village: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration :: Family Day in the Village is back! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early! Our family-friendly event has activities for everyone, including crafts for the wee ones, live music & entertainment, an appearance by our Milwaukee Irish Fest mascots Paddy and Molly McFest, family activities and tours of our Ward Irish Music Archives, which is located upstairs.
March 11th – Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays: Design Comes to Life :: Families can experience art together at Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays, the Museum’s special event—with hands-on art activities, visiting artists, performances, tours, and more—that happens only five times a year. Bring whimsy to your designs, inspired by the imaginative creations in the Jaime Hayon: Technicolor exhibition and the work of local designers. Invent your own patterns, create a weaving, and turn a simple vase into a sculpture with personality!
March 10th-11th – 2018 Indian Summer Winter Pow Wow :: The family-friendly Indian Summer Winter Powwow brings together dancers from Wisconsin’s tribes, as well as tribes from nearby states. Traditional foods will be sold, including fry bread and wild rice dishes, and a marketplace will sell crafts including pottery, jewelry, beadwork, silverwork and moccasins.
March 15th – Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Neighborhood Night :: Join the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum for FREE admission, courtesy of our sponsors, from 5-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month! Enjoy access to all of the Museum’s hands-on exhibits, and stop by our Be A Maker space to find tools, materials and techniques for endless ways to experiment and create.
March 17th – Discover New Berlin 2018 :: Discover All Things New Berlin. Business Displays – Historical Displays – Entertainment – Police & Fire Displays – Job Fair – School District & City Government Displays – Civic & Service Group Displays, and featuring the popular KIDS FEST.
March 17th – Maple Sugar Time! :: Here comes the melting snow, muddy shoes, and MAPLE SUGAR! Bring your big boots and sweet tooth, and we’ll do the rest. Begin inside with a story of how maple sugaring may have been discovered. Then travel outside through the stages of making maple syrup, from tapping trees to boiling sap with the sugar farmer at the evaporator. Top the morning off with REAL maple sugar over silver dollar-sized pancakes.
March 18th – Waukesha YMCA Underwater Easter Egg Hunt :: Grab your suit and join us for an Easter egg hunt unlike any other. Children collect eggs in our pool area, which they trade in for prizes. After the hunt, families are welcome to participate in crafts in the gym. Ages 3-12: Registration required. A free-will donation will be collected benefiting the Waukesha YMCA Annual Campaign.
March 23rd – The Pump and Dump Show :: The Pump and Dump Show is back by popular demand for its 6th nationwide tour: more hilarious, more raw and more “Parentally Incorrect” than ever. Moms, get yourself out of the house for once, and join comedians Shayna Ferm and Tracey Tee to laugh – hard – about all the things that usually make you cry. It’s rough out there in the Momosphere – you’ve earned a night out!
March 24th-31st – East Troy Railroad Bunny Train :: Join us for family fun on the East Troy Railroad’s Bunny Train! Enjoy face painting and coloring at the East Troy depot before departure. Then enjoy Easter-themed activities aboard a ten-mile round trip to the Elegant Farmer, where kids will see live bunnies and chicks on display by local 4-H students. Visit with the Easter Bunny for photos, and enjoy a treat before returning to East Troy on board our heated train
February 24- March 24th – Family Fit with your little ninjas :: Balance Fitness in Whitefish Bay brings you Family Fit. Fun, interactive workouts for kids and adults based on traditional kids games that will get your heart pumping keep the kids giggling. Join us for fitness freeze tag, red light green light, musical chairs and more. Every workout is designed by degreed/certified personal trainers and licensed k-12 educators. Appropriate for kids age 5-10. One child per parent and everyone is here to work and play together. No bystanders.
February 25th- April 21st – Starry Safari :: Come find the animals in the sky in the Planetarium’s first children’s show! The night sky is full of different animals that live around the night’s constellations.This show is geared for ages 4 to 10, but all are welcome!
