They call Wisconsin Dells the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” but all that water-play and amusement park enjoyment can add up to a whole lot of money if you aren’t careful! Plus, as fun as those waterparks are, visitors have flocked to Wisconsin Dells for over a hundred years to take in the natural beauty of the Wisconsin River, the gorgeous rock formations and the countless other gems created by wind, rain, sun and water.
The next time you take your family on a Wisconsin Dells vacation, be sure to use these five tips to maximize your time and budget so you can enjoy a variety of what the Dells has to offer!
1. Seek out Deals and Coupons
Figure out where you would like to stay and which attractions are interesting to you in advance. Then refuse to pay full price because there are SO. Many. Deals available. Every attraction and most hotels have discounts and deals on their websites. Groupon has tons. If you get on your favorite resort’s email list, they send deals and discounts regularly. Many retailers have offers, too. A minimum amount of effort yields lots of ways to save on accommodations and attractions. You might also consider purchasing a Passport to Savings if there are a lot of classic Wisconsin Dells you want to hit.
In our case, we stayed at The Wilderness Resort and hadn’t even left the front lobby before we had a coupon book in hand to use for food, activities and more. They also have a Fun Pass deal available for $29.95 on laser tag, mini golf, go-karts, a laser maze, indoor ropes course and bumper boats. It’s a great savings over purchasing these attractions individually.
