Here’s the scene: I’m out in public with my 2-year-old. He was recently diagnosed with autism, and doesn’t deal well with strangers (or really….anyone) talking to or approaching him. So being out with him in public is usually not a pleasant experience. Nonetheless, I want to get him used the world and to experience all […]
“Santa, I would love for you to meet my son. He LOVES you, but he gets scared when other people are around,” I said with the same hopeful smile that I’d smiled many times in the past. My husband was moving Cristian to a secluded spot and from across the room, we gave each other […]
Come experience The Sensory Club, Waukesha County’s first sensory gym and multi-sensory environment that welcomes members to explore their sensory needs. The experiences at The Sensory Club help build confident, caring, and capable children, teens and adults. The Sensory Club gym includes developmentally appropriate swings, monkey bars, rock climbing walls, and the incredible self-cleaning ball pit. (8000 balls, need we say more??) The multi-sensory environment room includes a bubble tube, fiber-optics, and vibro-acoustic loungers. (just to name a few!)
We designed The Sensory Club to be a safe haven, a judgement-free zone where members are encouraged to be comfortable with themselves and explore their individual sensory needs, while building community with other members.
Our Open House will include light refreshments and plenty of time to play and check out what The Sensory Club has to offer you..

The greatest gift a mother receives is the one that cannot be found on any registry – her motherly instinct. We gain a sixth sense to protect and nurture our child always. It’s knowing that you know your child better than anyone else – doctors, teachers, the media. They may be the professionals in their […]

You encountered a woman who questioned your parenting and your son’s mental health in the craft store. […]
